Advertised Applications

Most applications under the Liquor Control Act have to be advertised in order to inform the community. Which applications need to be advertised, and the advertising criteria for each are determined when the application is lodged with the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor.

Any person can object to an advertised application provided their objection is based on the general grounds or objection that are outlined in the Act.

You can search for and obtain a summary of applications for liquor licenses either by searching the Department's database.

You can either search:

  • by the date that an objection was lodged against an application; or,
  • by date the application was lodged with the Department.

To search by the date the application was lodged with the Department, simply enter the date of the Friday of the working-week the application was lodged with the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor. i.e, if the application was received by the Department during the week of Monday 14th May to Friday 18th May 2007, then enter 18/05/07 into the search engine.

Information displayed about the application includes;

  • applicant
  • nature of application
  • week application was received
  • last date for objections

Copies of forms and applications related to advertising applications are available here.
